What SF RPGs do you play?

Star Frontiers was my first exposure to a Sci-Fi roleplaying game. It is a quite good game, although the setting could be improved with more development. However, Traveller is the Sci-Fi game I've played most. It is still a great game in any edition (Classic, Mega,or T4 -- the last one bugged with several editiorial errors). Other great games would be d6, WEG's system used in Star Wars and Metabarons, which is fun and heroic, and Millenia a Brazilian game inspired by Traveller, despite using very distinct rules.

I've played quite a few other Sci-Fi games, but they weren't a good experience, and would rather not coment them.

DragonStar but it really is a fantasy game set in space.

Stargate is enjoyable but does not have that SF feel to me, more Top Secret or Twight 2000ish.

Star Wars is about the best, space and lots of possibilities.

haven't played them in many years...but Metamorphosis Alpha, Gamma World, Traveler, and Star Frontiers all come to mind.

i tried Alternity.

mostly when we wanted to play scifi we went the wargame route: Starfleet Battles and Freedom in the Galaxy :D

Space 1889 has been the only Sci-Fi game my group has ever played, we enjoyed it, but haven't done much with it. I to am looking forward to d20 Future.

Currently playing Stargate 1, but have played Shadowrun, Traveler (3 different versions), Spacemaster (Rolemasters SF companion), Prime Directive (Task Force Game's Star Trek RPG), FASA's Start Treck game, SPI's Universe, and a couple of others that I can't remember the name to.

I have played Traveller, Cyberpunk, Cybergeneration, d20 Star Wars, Trinity, Aberrant, and Shadowrun in the past.

Currently I am in a great Robotech game (using the Fuzion system for characters and game rules with Mekton Zeta for mecha). A great combination of easy rules, a knowledgable/rat bastard GM, great players and excellent characters. Its probably the best game I have played in years. I can hardly wait to play each Saturday night.

Eventually I will get a chance to play Star Gate SG-1 but not until my kids are older or I start my own game.

I'm currently preparing a Fading Suns campaign. We'll use a modified version of the Mutants & Masterminds rules set for it. But it's the setting that's the main thing - it is vast and diverse enough that you can steal pretty much any plot from any genre and use it in the setting almost unaltered.

I'd love to run Transhuman Space one day (I'm one of the playtesters, and I've written some stuff for one of its upcoming supplements), but I'm afraid that "getting into it" will be too much work for my gaming group...

We play a game using the Fuzion rules (with some Mekton Z) in a homebrew anime setting, heavily influenced by Macross/Robotech, Dirty Pair, Ghost in the Shell, Appleseed, Cowboy Bebop, Dominion (Tank Police), BGC, Votoms, and Battle Angel Alita (among others).
