What skills and feats would YOU have in D&D?

Roman

First Post
There have been various threads of the type "What race would you be in D&D" or "What class would you be in D&D" or "What ability scores would you have in D&D", so I thought to extend this to: What skills (and how many ranks) and feat(s) would you have in D&D?

BTW: I also think we should EXCLUDE Skill Focus feats and the +2/+2 skill bonus feats, since otherwise everybody would just say he/she has Skill Focus in his/her chosen professio and that would not be very interesting...

I'd have Dodge/Lightning Reflexes because I'm generally quite good at avoiding obstacles. I'd have Profession (Computer Guy) but not Craft (Programming). I'd probably have a few ranks in every single skill and not even one would be maxed out. I'd probably have Great Fortitude and Iron Will, too, come to thing about it.

Skills:

Concentration
Craft (Writing)
Knowledge (arcana, geography, history, nature, nobility & royalty, religion)
Profession (Teacher)
Speak Language
Swim

Feats:
Diehard
Endurance
Improved Unarmed Strike
Iron Will
Skill Focus (Craft, Profession & at least one Knowledge)

Dang - that means I'm at least 15th lvl! No wonder Crothian said I was broken :)

Mostly knowledge skills. My specialty isn't represented in the D&D knowledge skill list, but I do have a number of ranks in geography, history, arcana, nobility/royalty, religion, nature, and if you're playing a different knowledge (local) skill for every town or region I've got ranks in at least three of them.

Also several ranks in Speak Languages and Decipher Script (have you figured out yet which ability most emphatically isn't my dump stat?), Profession (teacher), and probably a couple ranks in Diplomacy, although you might not notice because my Cha itself isn't that impressive. Also 2-3 ranks in Perform (winds), and maybe a rank in Craft (macrame), although it's been a long time since I've used either of them, and 1 rank in Use Rope.

Feats are harder if I'm not allowed Skill Focus. I'd say Iron Will, and maybe Educated if I don't have that from my class. I don't have any weapon proficiencies, so most of the feats are outside my league.

I rolled a 23% - Librarian /Archivist!

In 3e terms, I guess it'd be something like this

Knowledge (history, literature)
Profession (librarian)
Swim (very low ranks, but ranks nonetheless)
Diplomacy
Tumble (again, very low ranks)
Perform (singing, poetry, storytelling)

I think I'd be flattering myself if I said I had any feats, but maybe Leadership (probably really flattering myself here, but I am the boss at work).

Skills? Feats? Commoners don't get many of those! :)

Based on my wife's conversations, I'd say the Cautious feat, though I've never diffused a bomb in my life, and oddly the Stealthy feat, even though I'm not good at sneaking around, I frequently unexpectedly surprise people with my presence.

Maybe I have a fair to good listen score, because I can usually hear people's approach by ambient sound change, unless I'm in a VERY loud environment.

hmmm..

ranks in:
swim (almost lifeguard certified. I took the test for fun, but I was too young (15))
concentration
knowledge (future) (this is D&D after all)

for feats, maybe lightning reflexes. I'm pretty agile.

Skills: Quite a few. I'm too lazy to list them all.

Feats: Great Fortitude, Improved Initiative, Lightning Reflexes, maybe some skill-related ones.
