What sort of product do you want to buy that no one is producing?

Evil undead lich raises undead army and players much eventually defeat him. THe book can start with character ideas and suggest ways to cater to the classes. It could remind the DM the power of turning so that clerics in a campiagn with loads of undead can be seen as even more powerful while a rogue that can't sneak attack most of the encounters will be see a bit weaker. It could do that for the different classes and even races. It can have ways to bring the characters together in this type of campaign so they don't have to meet in a bar. It can also suggest adventure ideas liker question for holy weapons, or protecting a caravan of holy water. Perhaps modules that already exist can even be easily slighlty changed to fit the adventure. For instance swap out Blackrazor of White Plume Mountain with an anti undead weapon.

So a book of essays on adventure (path) creation. Maybe take an adventure (path) and explain in grueling detail how and why each encounter or decision or whatever was done.

2) The Dungeon Builders Guidebook, a comprehensive resource for creating dungeon crawl adventures, from designing the play environment, stocking it with monsters and treasures, establishing a plot, and flexing the whole thing up or down in challenge level in response to party progress and makeup.
There was a book put out about 5 years ago called dungeons that did just this - it's an awesome resource and the essay are truely timeless and not tied directly to any RPG.

This far along into the D20 license and the life of 3E, it could be argued that everything's been done, and done repeatedly. But I always see people saying things like "I really wish someone would make X." Is there anything that you'd snap up in a heartbeat that no one (WotC or D20 publisher) is producing?

OD&D(1974) products

edit: in other words something good. plenty of stuff being churned out which i can convert but most of it is not worth the trees much less the money imo

Speaking as a player (and I'm also probably speaking for DMs too), I would like to see the promise of technology fulfilled. I want a chargen program that is at least as easy to use as filling things out by hand. That includes most, if not all, the WotC materials and is easy to update with any other materials I might want.

Beyond that, I would love to see more adventures geared toward new DMs. I think WotC's move toward doing this is helpful, but I would love to see an Adventure Path geared toward a first time DM.

I'd like to see something on expanded Craft rules, especially for low-magic settings.

I'd also like The Game Mechanics to finish the City Quarter series in a more timely fashion. Get cracking guys!

I like anything with adventure hooks too. Books like Freeport and the previously mentioned City Quarter series are great for that. Give some detail on a location, some NPC's, and a lot of short adventure hooks. I'm always looking for new ideas.
