What sort of product do you want to buy that no one is producing?

Better Battle Maps

Seriously. The Fantatic Locations series is a step in the right direction.

But I would like the equivalent of those maps for epic adventures. Like Expedition to Castle Ravenloft. The keep on the Borderlands. Against the Giants. and so on.

An environment book for the sky. Its a staple of fantasy that the sky isn't all empty or occupied with birds. The old TSR settings have an abundance of material to mine, as well as Eberron producing a need here with its skyships. Maybe WotC doen't want to open the can or worms of fine tuning D&D's 3d combat rules such a book would require.

How about a future Tome of Magic that has a new, detailed, innovative, defiling/preserving mechanic (ala Dark Sun) that presents defiling and preserving as a continuum.

Rules on running a domain that blend with rules for war/mass battles. This is more a request for WotC to give it a shot, I know 3rd parties have it done in spades.

[Added]MUCH more of the old Dark Sun monsters officially converted.

Well, I dunno about defiling/preserving, but I'd love the chance to do another ToM. I've learned a lot since I designed the shadowcaster, and it'd be great to have the opportunity to put all that to use.

Ooo! A wishlist! OK, I'll bite.

- A d20 version of the old D&D Rules Cyclopedia. One book with enough stuff in to game - monsters, spells, setting, mass combat, the works. They did it then, so why can't they do it now?

- A Fantasy version of the d20 Menace Manual giving low/medium/high level Ordinaries and Heros in a fantasy setting. Everyone Else comes close, but I want fantasy Guards, Criminals, Spies, etc - folks who'd make good protagonists in a human-centric campaign.

- A Reverse Dungeon. Should be easy enough to create using d20, so why not play the bad guys for a change?

- A decent Greyhawk hardback

- A book that contains NO FEATS and NO PRESTIGE CLASSES. Just once.

Insted, we get WoTC churning out the Completely Arcane Tome of Unearthed Dragons (release date 2008. Honest!) or somesuch tripe. Sheesh.

Psion,

Damn! Now that's probably the best suggestion so far! I'm sure someone else posted it, but not as succinctly. :D

Pants,

I didn't get the book for the races. I got it for the classes! :p If I wanted good races, I'd stick with Scarred Lands!

JV,

Understood about it not going far enough but considering that Monte didn't want to alienate the D&D/d20 public, I think it's fine enough.

A monster book focusing on giants.

Birthright 3E (I'm more interested in the rules for playing as a ruler and waging wars on other countries than the Birthright setting)

Feat Compendium

A book for Clerics that actually divides the spells up by area, much like the Wizard spells are. I don't think it is right that Clerics get access to all of them, especially as some of spells go against the core beliefs of a particular religion.

World Builder's Guidebook 3E. I have A Magical Medievil Society: Ecology & Culture but another book on the subject (especially one from WotC) wouldn't go astray.

An Age of Worms AP in hardcover would be nice too.

Olaf the Stout

Olaf,

I think everyone wants an AoW HC. It's just not forthcoming and we know who to blame. It's not Erik or James.

*wonders why people like to have a book on feet* They're just too smelly for me! :p

Book on giants would be nice, but hasn't yet been done quite right. (There was Paradigm's and FFG's book.)

I don't think going farther would have alienated anyone. The equipment chapter for instance could have benefitted immensely from so more work. If each race had one unique ability and he introduced newer mechanics for various parts like the Unfettered it would have taken the book from a 9 to a 10. I'm not talking grand sweeping changes to what's there, just the minutae.

JV,

Okay well I guess I just felt the Unfettered were fine. I can see why people might not dig the races though. No comment on the equipment, since I liked it the way it is.

Oh wait that was a comment. Nevermind! ;)
