It's not game breaking, but it's broken, boring, ugly, contra-innovativ (if that's an English word) and I hate it. Period.

I hate nearly all plain 1d6 damage/caster level spells.

Just asking for clarification. It's not broken IMO. It's just a workhorse spell for wizards and sorcerers. Let's them do a little damage here and there - a bit like a archers bow.

Yeah, I grow tired of the *BLING* and we're outta here spells. Are they useful? - you bet they are. Are they borderline ridiculous? - you bet they are.
