This subforum, the AI Echo Cave, is where threads ABOUT the subject of AI and LLMs (Large Language Models) go. It's here because--like the topic of 'damage on a miss' many years ago--multiple near identical threads are threatening to overwhelm the forum, and the volume is only increasing.
However, to be clear about what this forum is NOT--it is not an invitation for you to post AI content. We have no interest in being a repository for AI content. You can talk ABOUT the topic, but this isn't a place for you to share AI images or writing. This is a discussion forum for humans to talk to to other humans and we are interested in what YOU have to say, not what ChatGPT has to say.
That doesn't mean that in order to illustrate a point, you can't show an example of AI content--perhaps you are talking about how a company has used AI to make a book cover, or illustrating how a certain aspect of AI works in an informative way. In small amounts, that can be relevant, but if it smells like you're trying to use that as a 'loophole' so that you can just share AI content here... well, I assure you we moderators are not AI, and are much harder to fool, and we will take a dim view of people trying to get one over on us. So, please don't try to.
For those who would like to ignore all AI topics, you can go to your account preferences and scroll down to the bottom, where you can select specific tags to ignore. All threads in this forum are tagged 'AI/LLMs'. If you select to ignore that tag, those threads will not appear for you.
Thanks, all. Back to your infinitely identical threads full of the exact same people repeating the exact same things about AI!
