And that is the biggest complaint about the class - it is essentially a one trick pony.

I did point out that Complete Mage has some pretty good walrock-based Prestige Classes though.

Eldritch Disciple (multiclass warlock/divine spellcaster)

Eldritch theurge (multiclass warlock/arcane spellcaster)

Enlightened Spirit (warlock who takes on celestial characteristics)

True, but at third level that seems far away. I wish that had just a little more to do, with out breaking the class. But, thats what house rules are for. Im sure out dm doesnt like the idea of a one trick pony as much as I do, so we should be able to reach some sort of agrement.

Also, Im pretty sure that im going to take fighter for gelstat, it will prove to be a useful asset.

Be careful with that combo. You'd be best focused on ranged attacks with your fighter feats.

Warlocks suffer ASF in med (+) armor - so you would need Battle Caster feat (from Comp Arcane) to bump that up to med armor.

Also warlocks are really, really terrible with melee attacks.

Their eldritch blast is a ranged attack, in order to make it a melee attack you'd need the least invocation Hideous Blow. But like all invocations it is a standard action - so no matter what you do you only get 1 attack with it. It also can't be held like a "touch spell" can.

My warlock is c.g and 1 ranger (favored enemy evil outsiders) {he's a demon hunter} 3 warlock.

Bad combination but good themeatically.

Pretty much any multiclassing with a warlock weakens him substantially (just like it does to spell casters). That is the one thing that makes those new prestige classes at least somewhat attractive though.

If that was the case id be worried. However, I have VoP and not planing on using a sword or any armor. Im talking fighter for the BAB and the bonus feats which I will appy to the bast to power it up a bit. Also, I'll come out with about the same amount of hp :p
