B2 has got to be a lot of people's first dungeon. It was so prevalent "back in the day." It's a great module.
My kids started gaming recently, so I made sure to treat them to this old classic. They approached the Keep and asked the gate-guard "where are the monsters?" He told them where to find the Caves and off they went, without so much as setting foot in the Keep itself :). And so the circle is complete.

As a Player: the Choose-your-own-adventure style module in the Mentzner Red Boxed set (damn you Bargle!).

As a DM: the Mistamere Castle scenario in the DM booklet of the same set.

I love that box.

The first D&D adventure I ever played was "Palace of the Silver Princess," thanks to a third grade after-school program at Countryside Elementary School in Edina, Minnesota. The first I ran, also as part of that class, was "The Assassin's Knot."

Palace of the Silver Princess was my first adventure, but I don't remember a thing about it. The first adventure I DM'd was a 2e Dungeon adventure featuring a berbalang. Went quite well if I do say so myself.
