What was your first module?

First adventure was the short dungeon crawl from the Moldvay Basic set, where I played Black Dougal; I seem to recall being killed by a giant crab spider in that one.

First module I ever played in was X3: The Curse of Xanathon, where the notable highlight for me was sneaking into the Ducal Barracks with Qullan the Thief, and accidentally alerting the guards. Had to try and hold them off while the rest of the group came to the rescue.

(Also, for A'Koss- you aren't the only one who tried to storm the Keep in B2. My party did as well, and got slaughtered for it. Even the DM- my brother- thought, at the time, that the Keep was supposed to be raided.)

Like many others, the first module I ever ran was B1. The second was "Temple of Ra, Accursed by Set". The first module that I ever played in, homebrews were really first, was either "Caverns of Thracia" or "Inferno".

The one from Red Box, if that counts. Not a module per se, but the ready made keep in there. I was in awe of my fellow players, because they seemed to know all the right things to do. Well, I found out that it was about the 5th time they played the same adventure. They had nothing else to play

First I played in was Tomb of Horrors, first I ran was Blizzard Pass. I'm not sure which was the first that I owned/read, but I think it may have been Isle of Dread.

Another one for Keep on the Borderlands. We made 5 wizards, proceeded straight to the caves and got eaten by stirges.

I STILL hate those things. :)

That's funny! B2 was my first as well, and I was made to DM too! (none of us had ever played before). We thought the caves were the only cool part and so that was all we did. The stirges killed the party and we started over. :)

With the second party, I learned how to fudge DM dice for the first time.

My First module was Palace of the Silver Princess. We used the AD&D Players Handbook and the D&D Expert set to play. The DMG wasn't available yet.

What a great time that was.

Like so many... B2 - Keep on the Borderlands. But our DM was just leaning the ropes (12 years old - i was about the same age, over 20 years ago), and used the key for the Caves of Chaos when we went into the Keep! We didn't know any better and still had a blast. I killed several kobolds with my elf (cliche, but true - elves rocked in Basic D&D), and found a ton of treasure.

In retrospect, maybe he was just *way* ahead of his time. Having the evil denizens of the Cave overrun the Keep and surprise newcoming adventurers is actually pretty cool. :-)

B1 - I got grabbed by a stupid living shrubbery and one of the other party hit it with a spell (Burning hands?) and took me out with the bush. *sigh*

Way back in '77 if I recall correctly. It was all too long ago.

not sure of the name. played a halfling theif blue basic set. It was under ground. Tryed to climb a really long slide. Because I was the only one left alive, after making my climb check at least 4 times in a row. At the very top (trapdoor to the surface) I failed my climb check. this was when theifs skills were percentile. I slid all the way back down to a pit of spikes. I think we were being chased by kobolds, not fer sure though. which module is this. I know I was pretty low lv 3 or less.
