What weaponry are your villains using now?

However, he's got a really nice enchantment on it - probably the most overlooked weapon enchantment ever: Spell Storing. It's crazy when you get hit by some shot, and then pass out (Sleep)...

[coughAreaSpellcough]

Seriously, though, the biggest problem with Spell Storing weapons is that the Save DCs suck.

And if you follow the rules of the Ring of Spell Storing, the Caster Level sucks as well...

Money and power :)

The group I call the Vanguard has started to bring in new members, so they are going after the powerful. They look for the youth of the wealthy and bring them into the fold with money, sex, and fame, bulding them into the life style.

In combat, wands of shocking grasp as cast by an level 5 wizard: 1d8 + 5 damage (+3 attack bonus for metal armor).

I've always thought the best weapon was another living thing, i mean, what stops a troll from chucking a goblin at a adventureing party?

I should probably list the preffered weapons of my party...

Fighter: Scythe. (He's a peasant.)
Priest: Mace or longbow. (He's an elf.)
Thief: Rapier or flaming morningstar. (It belongs to someone else.)
Mage: Trident. (She's a triton.)

But by far the best weapon is the target's own severed limb. The infamous Lycanthropy Incident is evidence of this (a playtest scenario from one of my homebrew games gone horribly wrong).

*bump*

Sorry, I really have nothing to give to this topic, save that the NPCs/PCs I create tend to use RL weapons for RL things...I just need this thread to keep going....more people please help 5 and I!

Whip daggers are always in style. Nothing like doing short sword damage from 15' away.

Also, a apaldin in an epic campaign I'm in has a neat effect on his longsword. It looks like water when unsheathed (sp?) but almost instantly turns into steel, but you can still see some watery effects in the metal.

Don't usually see rogues (or anyone else for that matter) use hand crossbows with much frequency. Sure, a lot of rogues have them for back-up, but few use them for the main weapon slot.
