What were the last books you bought?

Ummm, odd point in my purchases...

The two most recent purchases were Legends of Excalibur and Rituals & Relics: Excalibur, but I didn't really pick them up for my campaigns. I picked them up for my Arthurian collection... In the end, if I were to do something Arthurian with rpgs, I would head back to Pendragon. Actually, I find R&R: Ex rather odd, in that I am not sure what version of the legends, or associated with them, the authors are striving to reenact.

Other than that, I picked up a couple of pdfs from RPGNow: Kaiser's Bazaar C and Legacy of Dragons. I am still looking through them, so I don't really have strong opinions yet.

Midnight-Not all the way through it yet, but a terrific read and a nice setting. It isn't exactly my cup of tea, but I'm sure I'll use it at some point. A few of the ideas have inspired my own setting.

Complete Warrior-Not much in it I'm ever going to use. An NPC is using the elven thinblade in my campaign. Oh yeah..I like the hexblade and swashbuckler classes. I'm using the hexblade in my FR campaign as a foreshadowed villian.

Unearthed Arcana-The best book WoTC has put out in a long while. Like others, I would never use some of it, but some stuff works perfectly for me.

Fields of Blood -- I like it alot, because there are going to be some mass combats later on in my campaign. I rcommend this as a resource for anyone doing the mass combats, or doing realm designing. Has good rules for characters as regents also.

Just picked up Return of the King on DVD.

Arrrgggghhhh!!!! I spent all my money on miniatures and books! I can't pick it up for another couple of weeks. (Actually, I'll be getting the trilogy boxed set - I have the first two films in extended editions, not theatrical releases, so I'll get all the theatrical releases in one go).

Enjoy the DVD, Psion!

My latest books:

Map Folio I - I was just using the Githyanki Fortress maps as props for my players... they loved them. :) There are several adventures I'd like to create based on these things.

Expanded Psionics Handbook - and from here came the Githyanki and Mind Flayers in my last adventure. Psionic Mindflayers on the Astral Plane are really nasty! Quickened Body Adjustment every turn (3d12 hp healed) and then blasting away at the PCs. :D

I've also got a player who wants to play a Soul Blade.

Cheers!

I've heard some very good things about this book - I really should investigate it further. :)

Cheers!

My last was Unearthed Arcana and I appreciated it so much that it deserved my first (and only for the moment) review.

Largely off topic, but... I have been waiting since the first episode came to theatres before buying any DVD, because I wanted to have the 3 episodes althogether in extended version. Does the trilogy boxed set contain theatre versions? :( Or is there going to be another boxed set with extended versions of the 3?
