I'm picky about beers (Shiner, Dragon Stout, Killians Red, Guiness, Harp, Newcastle, Chimay and Lindermans, for example), but mixed drinks? I'll try almost anything.
Especially citrus/sweet/"girly drinks".
Ever see the Kids In the Hall skit, "Girl Drink Drunk?" Once upon a time, that was me- and the more umbrellas and fruit chunks a drink had, the better.
These days, I don't drink as much, but I still try all kinds of things.
Some faves: Electric Lemonades, Blue Curacao Margheritas, Caphirenas...
...and in winter, I like both Eggnog and the hot drink, Cafe Oscar (Coffee with a shot of Amaretto and a shot of Kalhua).
One that I know isn't in any bartender's mix book is Wild Turkey mixed with tangerine/lime flavored soda water (such as the store brand sold at Tom Thumb/Safeway).
And as a potential rival to Amaretto, the aforementioned Wild Turkey has released Wild Turkey American Honey. Its a lower-proof burbon with a honey flavor. Think of it as Amaretto with an afterburner.
