What would be very cool to buy?

I have to suggest:

Settings: Iron Kingdoms (Character and World Guides), Arcana Evolved, Eberron, and Warcraft

Generic 3E books: Complete line, Unearthed Arcana

Modern/Sci-Fi: D20 Future, Star Wars Ultimate Alien Anthology, Star Wars Revised Core Rules, Star Wars Hero's Guide, anything from Ronin Arts (pdfs) and RPGObjects (especially Darwin's World 2, Blood and Brains, and Blood and Relics 2)

Supers: Mutants and Masterminds, Crooks!, Foes of Freedom, and Freedom City

Non-D20: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay v2, Old World Bestiary, Savage Worlds

In D20-ness, I'd recommend either Iron Kingdoms or Arcana Evolved -- both are very yummy flavour-wise, even if you don't end up running them.

In non-D20-ness, I'd go for either Paranoia XP or Ars Magica (5th ed.). The first is the only rpg that has made me laugh while reading the rules (well, that's been true for all of its editions...) and the second simply is my favourite rpg and has recently convinced my players that a shift to a non-D20 game might be a very good idea.

Hope this helps a bit. :)

Like settings, but don't want high fantasy, eh?

Delta Green for Call of Cthulhu is one of my favorite settings of all time. Better even than Dark•Matter. Unfortunately, the d20 version is still not out, although it supposedly will be by Gen Con was the last I heard. Still, the strength of the game is in the setting, not the mechanics, of which there aren't many anyway.

Of course, if you don't have the d20 Call of Cthulhu book, you absolutely should. That's my favorite RPG book bar none.

The relatively recent Iron Kingdoms setting might fit the bill as well; it's my favorite non-homebrew fantasy setting out there at the moment.
What's the source on the apparently impending Dark Matter D20 release? That seems specious, but if it's true - GREAT! I love that book!

So, whats the cool book I should buy? (It doesn't need to be d20)

Mutants and Masterminds. If you have just the core book already, then Freedom City.
Blue Rose
Warhammer RPG
Angel RPG

I think he's referring to the D20 version of Delta Green. I would like to see D20 Dark*Matter as well. Granted, I've got most of the D20 rules info I need to use the setting info as is.

Yeah, that was in reference to Delta Green. If you've got the DM Alternity book, d20 Modern and the Menace Manual, you've already got a d20 DM campaign, it seems to me.

There's also the Polyhedron DM minigame from a coupla years ago.

Ahh yes, the IK World guide. I've the character guide already. Thats high on the list, but any cthulhu goodness is fine with me :D.

What annoys me is when I buy a book. Example... oh, Traveller. And it mentions a cool setting. But it doesn't tell me anything much about it at all. Now, I like changing everything and stealing what I need and ignoring others. But I must admit I'm over crunchy rulebooks.

What do I have?

Traveller
WoT (+ Campaign book)
Mutants and Masterminds (+Noir)
Legends of Excalibur
IK Character guide
Swashbuckling Adventures (D20)
Spycraft (+ Shadowforce Archer, + 1960's)
Call of Cthulu Chaosium 5th edition
Standard 3 core D+D rulebooks
Grim Tales (No-one has Slavelords of Cydonia! it makes me sad to live in Australia. I like to support EN World members :D)
Conan
Godlike
Feng Shui
Ars Magica 5th Edition (+ Ruins of Calebais, + Black Monks of Glastonbury)
An ancient Vampire 1st edition. I'll keep it till I'm 80 and sell it for three dollars.
Paranoia XP (+ Traitors Manual and Crash Priority)

Pets & Sidekicks
