Well declining to join Mensa, in my mind, is actually a sign of intelligence anyway, since Mensa is a pretty dumb instituion.
I think that any organisation that arranges cream waffle eating competitions in an amusement park is worth joining.

As for me...
STR: 8. I am scrawny and weak... (I armwrestled my ex-girlfriend to a draw. She's a head shorter than I am, and asthmatic.)
DEX: 14. ...but my balance, reflexes and manual dexterity are pretty good.
CON: 10. I'm small and scrawny, but my pain threshold is a bit higher than average.
INT: 16. I have some talent with languages and a very good memory, plus a knack for practical problem-solving.
WIS: 13. Or thereabouts. I'm wise enough to realise I'm not very wise, which must count for something.
CHA: 12. This was democratically established by my gaming group some years past.

I'd probably be either a sage or an apprentice wizard, or some other annoying besserwisser type.

Of course, since I'm Finnish, I'd have Improved Heat Resistance as a free feat. ;)

When I ran my game...

Well, you might survive longer than you think, if you planned. When I ran my game, the party (who were all playing themselves) accidentally opened a portal between the "real" world and the D&D world (Forgotten Realms specifically). They had a limited amount of stuff they could carry. And they knew they would need trade goods in order to make any money. The merchants in Waterdeep don't take plastic.

So what did they decide to take? Eraseable pens (which they sold to mages for a killing), my collection of perfume bottles (the bastards!), lighters (which they sold to the militia...the army always pays too much, right?) and...um...girlie magazines. Which they used to barter for information with the seedier types. Chris, a bit of a tinkergnome in real life anyway, made friends with the gnomes and introduced the printing press to Faerun (financing it with the money made off selling the pens and my bottles!)

I'm probably:

Str: 13-14
Dex: 14-16 depending on the day
Con: 10-12
Int: 15-16
Wis: 12
Cha: 10

I'm a commoner, hoping to multi-class into expert soon... (apprentice as an electrician)

Oddly Iwas considering what my stats would be just today...

For me I think my stast would be...

ST: 8
DX: 8 (this might be high)
CN: 8
IN: 13
WS: 12
CH: 6

Someone asked for brutal honesty...

As for what class I would be... as in what I would suited too with the above stats?

I'd say some sort of Expert. Or maybe an Adept.

Using the 25 point buy, and being pretty honest with myself:
STR 11
DEX 10
CON 13
INT 12
WIS 9
CHA 16

And I would so be a sorceror. The power to cast magic spontaneously! The blood of dragons! Hooboy!
