What would you like to see dropped from Dungeon?

Good point, but it'd basically be printed in the same publication that has the Age of Worms maps and stats anyway. The artist probably wouldn't go for it, but I think it would be neato.

I think folks have the notion that if X, Y, and Z disappears they'll get more adventure content. My guess is that this wouldn't be the case.

They could replace Downer with ad space and I'd be happier. I *really* don't like Downer.

While I can understand all you "Downer" haters (I like it), I can't understand all the Mt. Zogon Haters. It's not just one of my favorite D&D comic strips, It's one of my favorite Strips PERIOD (along with Perry Bible Fellowship)

I'm the kind of guy that wants to read every single bit of a magazine in order to get my money's worth.

Hmm, I'm the kind of guy who believes one good article justifies the cost of a magazine.

I'll buy Alternative Press or Magnet or even Blender if it has an article on one band I really like. I'll buy Time or Newsweek if it has a decent cover story. I'll even pick up the occasional random magazine I'd never otherwise buy -- maybe a cooking magazine, a travel magazine, or even Psychology Today -- if it has one article that interests me.

And I won't write an angry letter to the editor and threaten to cancel my subscription to Sports Illustrated unless I see immediate changes because they have a story on basketball and I hate basketball.

Dungeon costs $7 a month and has 3 or 4 adventures plus a load of articles in each issue. Even if only one of those adventures is something I'll use, that's a better cost than just one published adventure from another publisher. And I can usually steal bits and pieces from other adventures -- maps, NPCs, plot hooks, whatever -- even if I can't use the entire adventure.

I find it well worth the cost. It's $7 a month, for crying out loud, even less with a subscription. That means I'll be able to eat at Taco Bell or Subway one less time per month in exchange for buying the magazine.

I don't know why we as gamers feel that the editors of Dragon and Dungeon must make every article in every issue appeal to each and every one of us. I'll bet the readers of Lapidary Journal or Model Railroading don't expect that from their magazines. We're lucky as heck they listen to our feedback as much as they do, but I don't feel they have to make immediate changes because a vocal minority doesn't like a certain comic strip or a columnist who gets one page a month.

Edited to add: I think the editors are doing a fine job. Not every article in every issue appeals to me, but then again I don't expect them to. I find the quality of both Dragon and Dungeon to be better now than in recent years. Keep up the good work, guys.

I don't understand the negative attitude towards Mt Zogon by some. It was one of the reasons I actually got a subscription to the magazine. Not the primary reason, but a reason nonetheless.

I'm curious as to why you would take such a hard-line stance? I don't care for Downer, but it's not a big deal to me. I just skip those two pages. In any case, I really enjoy Dungeon and I look forward to getting each issue. Next to Enworld, it's probably the best resource out there. Keep up the good work.
