What's a good combination of Paladin/Rogue/Sorcerer?

Paladin - you probably want either level 2 or level 4, depending on whether or not you have access to Divine feats. Beyond that, sorta pointless.

I beg to differ; the smiting charge alternate feature (from PHB 2 I think?) at level 5 offers a lot of bang for your buck. Especially combined with Rhino's Rush.

Wouldn't Paladin / Bard be more appropriate? Perhaps with added Mystic Theurge?

And surely it's 3 levels of Paladin that you want, not 2. Agreed with the 4 or 5 variants, though.

But for ultimate Cha-monkey goodness, take Paladin 4 / Bard 4 / Divine Crusader 4 / Mystic Theurge 8 (last 2 MT levels increase Paladin spellcasting instead of DC), especially if the GM will give you bonus domains. Or change to Pal 5 and MT 7. That's 4th level Bard spells, and 9th level Divine spells. If you don't want Weapon Specialisation, change to Pal 4 / Bd 4 / DC 2 / MT 8 / Bd +2

I'm curious as to how folks see Warlock (Must be Chaotic or Evil) or Bard (Must be non-lawful) working with Paladin (Must be Lawful Good). Sudden change of heart after you get all the levels of Bard of Warlock that you wanted?

And Quartz - I don't see a major benefit in the third level of Paladin, honestly. +1 to Reflex, Will, and Base Attack? Ok, those are nice. But Aura of Courage and Divine Health have just never been major issues in games I've played in - they might be handy every now and then, but not something I'd give up a level of rogue or sorcerer for. Now, Turn Undead - yes, worth giving up levels for if divine feats are available. And I can see the argument for level 5 if the charging smite feature is available. But level three just strikes me as fairly 'meh' - If you're going beyond it, its not a bad level, since you get a nice little grab bag of stuff, but the really good things are still to come. Unless Fear or Disease were major parts of the game, I couldn't see stopping there.

Rogue for disarming traps/stray skillpoints, awesomeness obviously.

If you don't need Sneak Attack, go 2 levels of Martial Rogue from UA. You get your skill points, 2 fighter bonus feats and Evasion. If you are casting in light armor (Battle Sorcerer or Warmage) you can still use Evasion.

I have a Swashbuckler 3/Martial Rogue 2/Battle Sorcerer 15. It's a better fit light armor-wise than having Paladin and it has worked for me, but you can substitute Paladin for Swashbucker and have fun with that combo too.

Thanks,
Rich

Edit: fixed some grammar.

How are you getting 2 fighter bonus feats with only 2 levels of martial rogue? I thought they substituted sneak attack progression for bonus feats at the sneak attack levels, not losing all potential sneak attack for fighter feat progression.

No, they gain fighter bonus feats as a fighter and lose all sneak attack progression.

Devoted Performer feat (Complete Adventurer) solves the Paladin/Bard issue. Warlock... I got nothing.

You sure about that? You sure get a lot at 2nd level, then. And I could build a human character with 2 levels of fighter and 2 levels of martial rogue for a total of 7 feats (human, starting, 1st fighter, 2nd fighter, first MR, 3rd level feat, 2nd MR), all for dropping 1 point of BAB.

Pretty sure...

Assuming your DM okays the optional variant class to make a rogue like a fighter to multiclass with fighter.

Would you let someone multiclass, say, the no-Rage Ranger-flavoured Barbarian with Ranger or Barbarian?
