What's happening with 3e?? Open Design, Necromancer Games, Sinister Adventures, Monte

I really wish people would do 3.5 material instead of pathfinder, myself. I find the "powered up" tone of pathfinder just too much, myself. I can use the adventures (if I tone them down a bit), but all the classes, prestige classes, and even the monsters, are too much for me to add to my 3.5 campaign world.

Anyway, one lone cry for "more 3.5e".

The big reason being Pathfinder is currently in print and readily available. 3.5e has become less and less so.

I'd like to encourage folks to check out Trailblazer, available in PDF format for a steal ($5) or in print through Amazon. See my sig for details.

There are a lot of reviews out there for Trailblazer and I am happy to say they are almost universally enthusiastic.

I've only glanced over the Pathfinder books, but on the whole I thought they probably were less over the top in power level than later 3.5. What am I missing? Why do you think they are so powered up?

The only 3.x products I'm still looking forward to are the adventures from Necromancer Games. Otherwise, I'm ready to close the book on it and embrace Pathfinder. (Well, actually, I'll probably combine Pathfinder, straight 3.5 and elements of Trailblazer.)

I'm ready to, you know, use all the stuff I already have for 3.5 that I haven't used. ;)

(Though I do desperately wish Razor Coast would cross the finish line.)

The OP asked a question. It didn't raise a "main point"...

Huh? I wasn't referring to a main point of a post, but the main point of Pathfinder.

The main point of pathfinder was to, in essence, keep 3.x in print. As retailers and distributors are loath to stock product for an out-of-print game.

Sorry for being "conversational". ;)

Ah, gotcha! Sorry for my confusion - no worries! B-)

RPGObjects and Vigilance Press are still around.

We've got Modern20, which is still being supported, I just released Mecha Omega, OGL Mecha rules through Vigilance Press, have been working on a setting for OSRIC, and will be writing a new Darwin's World adventure for GenCon.
