What's happening with 3e?? Open Design, Necromancer Games, Sinister Adventures, Monte

I've only glanced over the Pathfinder books, but on the whole I thought they probably were less over the top in power level than later 3.5. What am I missing? Why do you think they are so powered up?
Huh. I didn't think that at all. Possibly with the classes... possibly... but the races were all clearly LA +1 compared to their 3.5 equivalents. Races plus classes combined would create a significant disparity between 3.5 era PCs.
I'm ready to, you know, use all the stuff I already have for 3.5 that I haven't used. ;)
Indeed. That's exactly my plan too. With a handful of houserules borrowed from Pathfinder and Trailblazer.

I thought they looked interesting too. I'd buy it.

Wulf - I got my copy of TB from Amazon the other day, very nice. I recommend adjusting the font on some of the tables though as the gray background makes some of the text hard to read.

Sigh. I know. Trying to sort that out with them delayed the release by at least 2 weeks and in the end, there was nothing they could do about it (period) and nothing we could do about it without significant additional delays (i.e., redoing the layout entirely to account for their screen issues).

We'll do things differently moving forward.

I like the sound of this book as I've always like the concept of classless systems. I liked BESM d20. Not sure how this slipped under the radar on me, but will have to pick it up.

Our intention is to bundle Complete Control and Complete Gear into a single physical book come Spring. The same author has also done work on bringing even more "classlessness" (is that a word?) to True20 via our Full Control book if that is interesting?

Hm. So, +2 to one stat = LA +1? :hmm:

Not so very much, IMO. A lot of the changes amount, in play, to flavour stuff. That, or a few more day-by-day or round-by-round options that will hardly make much impact, relatively. Either way. . .

Also, it would depend greatly on which splats are used, if any. Bo9S, anyone? ;)

(glances at sagging shelf)

Yep, plenty of 3.5 stuff already.

I'm not sure one lifetime would even be enough to play through just the DCCs, Necro adventures, and Dungeon Adventure Paths, much less all the other stuff.

Agreed. Here's to IMMORTALITY!! :) (after all, how ELSE will there ever be enough time to play all this stuff?)
