I'm so out of the comic loop.
I don't recognise 90% of the titles.
LOL. I'm in the same boat! I live two miles west of nowhere and haven't been in a comic shop in, God, 3 or 4 years?
I still do get a couple of books from a friend in NYC who has a friend who owns a shop. Once every couple of months, he mails me down a box with my comics.
What I currently collect is:
JLA
JSA
Green Arrow (considering dropping)
Catwoman
Hellboy (but only in TPB form)
I also picked up a TPB of Way Of The Rat by Crossgen Comics at a Barnes & Noble. Haven't read it yet, but it looks good.
I recently dropped Wonder Woman. The writing wasn't bad for the most part, but too much time was spent cleaning up John Byrne's mess. I really hated his run.
I collected, until the times of their cancellations, Starman, Sandman, and Sandman Mystery Theatre. If they were still around, I'd be reading them today.
And I miss The Flash. I collected that thing from '88 or '89 until '01 or '02. The writing quaity just dropped off. I didn't enjoy reading it anymore, I just bought it out of habit.
Same thing happened with Spider-Man (at one point I got all the titles). The stories just got terrible. I luckily dropped it just before the horror known as the Clone Saga started.
And I dumped X-Men when Claremont got fired. The writing took a sharp nosedive the very next issue.
Also, I loved Legion Of Superheroes and Legion. They were cancelled and replaced by a mini-series which I hated. The art was terrific, but the story (one of the team goes bad) sucked.
WayneLigon, I see you've named Legion in your list. Did DC bring it back?
Hawkman's back? Huh, I had no idea. Astro-City is still being published? I collected that one, but then it sort of disappeared. And is there a 2nd League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen series out?
Man, I'm sooo out of it...
