Yep, Paragon multiclassing is expensive.

Indeed, especially so in that it makes you forgo a class specific paragon path, which are generally really good.

/aside: I wish the D&D compendium would list page numbers of rules references for non-subscribers, not just the book. Now, if a non-subscriber wants to find something in a book, he'll need to use the compendium to find which book it's from, and then the (often fairly sparse) index at the end of the book to find it within the book.
