What's something really painful that you can pour into an open wound?

Crush up a hobonaro pepper and put in the open wound.

I think the thought of just cutting someone open and then pouring stuff in an open wound would make normal people talk.

Some small broken glass.

Trying to think of something nice for pouring, best I can think of right now is melted caramel or chocolate. On wool (it melts it to the skin).

Nah, not me. I am an expert at nothing. I understand painfully tortured minds however.
Experience is certainly a valid source of knowledge, though.

You people REALLY, REALLY scare me. That said:

You should read some of the old Inquisition texts. They explain how to torture for every single sin. It's pretty graphic. I love exsanginuation (this is a way of killing someone mind you, it takes times however). Remember you have access to magic. Hurt (Negative HP) their [loved one] and heal before they die. Rinse and repeat.

Without reviewing ALL the posts here is my list-

OPEN WOUND
salt
alcohol (prer the better)
acid
ice (messes with nerves and sensation as blood becomes cold)
anything hot

CREATE A WOUND
Acid
Burns
Rot Grubs

HORRIFIC STUFF
Agony Beetles (see Athas.org)
thin glass rod forced somewhere (hurts to begin with) then smash with hammer (hurts a lot to begin with) then have major concerns if you need to go to the bathroom. I say no more

I sure I can be more creative but am not at the moment.....

Well, the original poster said, basicaly, "other than salt." Maybe that shouldn't be on the list.

Sodium salt or other?

Mixed just right, some salts could react with the body chemistry or other fluids and cause any number of neat effects for the sake of this thread's theme :]
