What's the best food?

Yes, it is stereotypical for an Italian, but I really, really love pasta.

It's a staple. Pasta, potatoes, rice. They fill the same niche and they're all top tier food.

Bread and salami, or more in general, bread and ham. If I had to pick only one, bread.

I worked for about a decade in different pizza places. Back then I was either asked repeatedly if I ever got sick of pizza or told I would get sick of pizza. It never happened. I love everything about pizza. I even love the way my hands smelled after making pizza. I try not to eat it too often but never turn it down when offered. I haven't tried Chicago style yet. I'm not convinced it qualifies as pizza. If ever provided with authentic Chicago style pizza I'll happily try it.

For me it’s tacos al pastor on freshly made corn tortillas. The actual freshly done masa from nixtamalized corn, not from masa harina. Topped with onion, cilantro, pineapple, a squeeze of lime, and some salsa.

The second runner up, but close behind, would be tacos de carnitas. Same as before only swap the meat and drop the pineapple.

I don’t know if I could narrow it down to one, partly because I cook, partly because I enjoy so many different cuisines.

And because I cook, I get to enjoy my best recipes much more often than the stuff I can only get when eating out.
