Where do i get resource library that they used in the Demo videos. I downloaded the maptools program and it doesnt come with any of it

Rowe, the resource gallery is here. You can search for and download whatever maps, tokens, etc you want. They have pretty much any creature you could ever want already tokenized in PNGs, and people have already made a complete set for Keep on the Shadowfell with Macros and Stats already included. Also search/ask in the User Creations forums, since people are always adding new stuff and announcing it there. It's a pretty active community.

I've been playing with maptool, and I notice it still counts diagonals 1212, and it's making vision circular... I don't suppose there's any way to change those things?

Yes, assuming you're using the 1.3b31 (latest version), just have the host go to Edit->Preferences and change the "Movement metric" to ONE_ONE_ONE. The vision is still circular for now, and there aren't square spell templates yet either, but apparently a big update to the vision/light system is one of the features to be worked on soon. Which is another nice thing about MapTool, btw--the developers are very active about improving it and adding new features.

If you're desperate, you could also try Google documents. The spreadsheets can be set as editable by multiple people. Just adjust the cells to be squares and off you go. It's a lot less elegant than dedicated mapping programs, but it's very simple and requires no downloads or installation of software.

I would give d20pro a serious look (http://www.d20pro.com). It has the basic tools, like fog of war, login via IP address, chat tools, and map imports, but it also tracks initiative, hit points, lets you put in attacks and even at will / per init (encounter) / per day and charged abilities. It also tracks effects, like bonuses to hit, AC, temporary hit points, etc.

It's designed for 3.5, but it's easy to move it to 4th. They offer a fully functional 14 day trial too, so there's no reason not to give it a spin. Here is a screenshot of a 4th Edition game I ran at Origins just last week, just to give you an idea of what it looks like.

What programs have people had the most success using to do mapmaking for MapTool? My group uses Gametable presently, but I'm looking at other options.

EDIT: Realized my wording was confusing. To clarify, I was asking what additional software folks use to make maps to import into MapTool.
