Hi!

I have a 21st level Char (5 Fig/16 Wiz). He's the only Char still living from the original 1st levl group. He was created in 2e and the Campaign went for 4-5 Years.

Kodam

FR Icewinddale startet as Sunelf now a Elfling. Oh I think others call him a Halfling.
4th ranger 4th diviner
Its still a 3E campaign we are playing every 2 weeks

I don't remember whether my former halfling made it to 11th level or no, but I know he's at least 10th level.

5th level. I think. It wasn't really a campaign worth remembering :p

Most characters since then have started at 5th, rarely going beyond that.

One group I GM'd over around a 6 month period went from 1st level to.. I think 13th or 14th level. We play weekly, campaigns usually last from 4-8 months.

The current group I GM is around 9th or so, but they were started from 3rd level.

19th level was the highest. First real 3.0 character (grey elven rogue/wizard/arcane trickster). Took 2 years or so to get there, playing almost weekly for 8-12h each, about 800 hours total as a very rough guesstimate.

Current 3.5 character (human sorceress/incantatrix) is at 9th level now, which is the highest in 3.5 from 1st on.

Bye
Thanee

My second Character in 3E was so far the highest:
Cayle ;) Bbn9/Rg4 died a honorable Death being swallowed by a Shadow Dragon (CotSQ), cut free and got smashed to give our Sorcerer time to finish the Dragon off.
Then, got looted by whom i saved
Cruel world, this is.

11th level sorcerer as of current time.

IMC it is difficult to judge since new characters are brought in at the bottom of the level below the old character (otherwise they are too weak for the party and no fun for the player) so all the current party started at between 5th to 9th level (party levels currently 13, 12, 10, 10, 10, 10). I think the highest than any character reached from 1st level was probably 6th.

I advanced a 1st level Fighter/Cleric of Tempus to 18th level over the course of about 7 months - A lightning fast progression, to be sure, but the DM wanted to play ONE game in which the characters made it to the "big time". It took us about 20 sessions of about 6 to 8 hours each, so about 140 hours of gaming.

My highest level character at a more normal pace was about 11th level, a Halfling Fighter/Rogue, at a period of about a year, about 40 gaming sessions of 6 to 8 hours length, so, about 275 hours gaming time, roughly.
