Quaal's feather token (tree)

Well, since you asked....

Instant ladder (lets see... DC 20 wall, or DC 5 tree right next to it)
Raw materials in a material-less environment (desert, arctic)
Combines will with an animate tree spell
Makeshift boat/bridge.
Battering ram (if you have a wall close enough to stick the token to, nowhere does it say it has to be on the ground)
Ammunition (drop it on someone)
Bluff that you're a druid
A half dosen is an instant oak grove, great for driuds starting out.
Brace a collapsing cave/building
Really expensive food (oak trees have acorns)
Cover
Lookout point in flat lands
Trail marker (bread crumbs disappear too easy)
Save a dying Dryad
Hold Portal spell on really big doors (like castle gates)

Need any more? :)

You forgot "take out the big tower in the middle of the town of Brendenford and make all the people sad." But I suppose it would take one of the crazy people I play with to do that. :D

the hand that lets you cast mage hand all the time.

oh dropped my sword, woo, got it back.

need ale but have no limbs left after really hectic dungeon crawl. ahh, that's better!

i don't want to get up to open the door. trun knob yell "push!"

Huh... holding items is really that useful?

Well duh! How else are adventurers going to cart around all those 10' poles?

Cheers,
Mirzabah.

The most useful item is the one you need at the time. If you happen to be at the bottom of a lake wearing plate armor, a Robe of Useful Items isn't going to help, but that oak tree just might. On the other hand, the tree won't help you see in the dark. (Though I guess you could hack it up into torches. Hey, that really is a cool item, now that I think about it... ;))
