What's with My Yahoo and Yahoo Messenger?

As long as I don't try to log in to My Yahoo or Yahoo Messenger, I can easily access most functions of yahoo. However, my main email is through yahoo (because it's always available...), and I check for email by logging in to Messenger.

Lately, I've been getting serious lag. By lag, I mean on the order of five or more minutes to open each page. Admittedly, I'm on a dialup, but still I'm used to pages loading within less than a minute. This is getting ridiculous.

Is it just some connection hub between me and Yahoo, or is this a general observation?

I know last night I was seeing issues with yahoo.
Out of curiousity, have you cleared the temp files and all offline content?
if not go to Tools->Internet options->General-> Delete files(under the temporary internet folder) and select delete all offline content.
if this has not been done it can take a bit.(once I helped a gent delete this and he had 300 MB of temp files and he wascomplaining about slow connection speeds)

Oh and once at band camp.......
