Chaotic Good, I think. I believe I was once LG as a kid, trying to be good and obedient; by the time I was a teen I was a goody-2-shoes and smug about it too! But then real life sunk in and I learned very quickly that authority can not ever be trusted - absolute power corrupts absolutely and similar such wisdom. By the time I was in my 30's I realized I knew less about life than I thought in my arrogant 20s. So wisdom developed within me I think. Maybe I have that "old soul" element at my core? Who knows? Anyways I waxed NG by 25 and now, as I get more mature in life, I know am probably CG at heart.

CG = a rebel with a good heart and a free spirit. Suits me ;)

My "dump stats" are Strength and Charisma (although I'm rather average all around ;) ), so I'm not sure I'd make a good cleric, perhaps more a druid or shaman... Domains: Knowledge and Travel appeal to me - but I can't find a deity who supports both of these.

-I like routine and hate spontaneity. Nothing pisses me off more than someone "Popping in" unannounced.

-I firmly believe that laws (in the US, at least) were created by people far more intelligent than I and, as such, should be followed even if it is inconvenient for me. Laws need a revision every now and then...but if I ever had a problem with the laws, I would live somewhere else.

-When something is created for a reason, it bothers it when people don't use it for that reason. i.e. Walking on the grass rather than staying on the sidewalk to save yourself 4 feet of walking. THE SIDEWALK IS THERE FOR A REASON!

-I believe in the sanctity of tradition. Traditions are used to remember important events, and without tradition we spit in the face of those that sacrificed for these important events.

-I feel that age deserves respect. Youthfulness should NOT be emulated by the unyouthful, and I can't stand watching people in their 40's+ trying to act like 20 year olds. You worked your arse off to get to where you are, darnit, so be proud of your years!

-Few things infuriate me like parents who refuse to discipline children THAT NEED IT. I've known several parents that preached, "We don't discipline our child!" with pride...even though their children were glassy eyed monsters that abused animals, ran around screaming, and yelled at adults. Keep in mind that Discipline =/= Abuse.

Congratulations. You just described me :D

Except I'm true neutral with lawful and (slight) good tendencies (NOT "lawful good" tendencies, my lawfulness and goodness are strictly separate). Most (if not all) alignment tests gave me those results, including an old MS DOS one with over 400 questions :P

While I find immense comfort in the things Satori mentined above, I abhor strict chains of command (such as those found in the military... in fact I intensly dislike military (as an institution, not neccessarily people in the military)).

My deity of choice would probably be Wenta (due to her emphasis on autumn's plenty) or Corrollalee (hearth, home, friendship), although I might consider Obad-Hai or Istus. I'm also partial to Telchur. (I'm picking the deities based on my worldview, not on my professed alignment).

I don't think alignment can be applied to real people, who are much more complex in their motives and behaviors than even the most well role-played player character.

So.....lemon curry.

Yeah, I agree.

In theory, I'd be Chaotic Neutral.

I'd say 90% of the people in this thread and in the world are actually one of the three Neutrals. Most other people would either be "evil", mentally imbalanced (and thus without an alignment), and a few actually good.

Every test I ever take pegs me as Chaotic Good. I'm strongly Chaotic- I loathe authority or government of any sort, as well as any attempt to assert "authority" or dominance over me. I'm also staunchly Good; I'm a generous and caring individual and many of my friends would say too much of both.

In the official D&D universe, I'd worship Kord- not only is he a serious hottie, but he also matches my personality to a T and his goals are ideas I find admirable. The fact that most of his actual clerics or staunch followers would also be highly athletic, and thus hot, means I'd likely have lots of good dating material within the church. :) And that's a great bonus on top of the already-matching ideas! If I went with Cleric as a class (honestly, Wizard is much better suited to me- or failing that Rogue), I'd probably go with Chaos and Luck as Domains.

NG. All other allignments just feel constraining for me. NG is the only one where I can just be myself and fit.

Deity of choice would be Pelor. Healing and Good domains to go with it.

Exeption for Elohna (I have a soft spot for Elohna) could be made if I was living in a particular woodlandsy area (hey, you never know in a hypothetical D&D world, right?). Nature and Good domains would go nicely with that.
