What's Your Favorite Crime Movie?

Just finished watching The Usual Suspects and Miller's Crossing last night. I've been on a bit of a crime movie kick, so what are your recommendations?

Just off the top of my head, recently I've seen True Romance, Wild at Heart, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Layer Cake, Snatch, Rounders, and The Limey.

The Italian Job wasn't bad, although it was a little "too Hollywood" for my taste. If you don't mind some over-the-top near-wuxia stuff, the original Transporter is good for a laugh. It's not a serious contender, but it's amusing.

Usual Suspects is brill. As in iant. But you just saw that, so I guess you don't need it recommended. And the original Bonnie & Clyde, with Cybil Shephard (?-I think) and Warren Beauty is a classic of the genre. Really kicked it off, in many ways.

The Usual Suspects
Miller's Crossing
L.A. Confidential
Memento
The Limey
Sexy Beast
Godfather I and II
Sneakers
Fargo
The Spanish Prisoner
Heist
Matchstick Men
The Nine Queens
Chinatown

But my all-time favorite is The Big Sleep.

Got to go with the old ones: The Big Sleep and The Maltese Falcon. But the BBC's Sherlock Holmes from not all that long ago with Jeremy Butler (?) was great. Then ther was a Bob Hoskis/Robin Williams movie about a mad bomber that was very good, can't remember it's name.

I love the list so far, but I'm surprised no one has added two of Quentin Tarantino's first movies:

Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction.

I am surprised I am the only one here to list Goodfellas. Another good one is Bank Shot.

Though as a minor detail, it was Faye Dunaway who was in Bonnie and Clyde. The movie is a bit old for Cybill, her being only 17 when it came out.

It doesn't get nearly the respect it deserves, but I dig Jackie Brown. It's the least of the three, but it's still loads better than most movies. And Pam Grier's just awesome. I wish this film had done for her career what PF did for Travolta's (*cough*cough*Battlefield*Earth*cough*).

Thank goodness for Buzzard! Goodfellas all the way.

Other than that, most of the good mob movies are up there. Godfather I & II, Donnie Brasco, Casino, etc.

Also liked Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and the Usual Suspects. Great movies.
