What's Your Favorite Crime Movie?

This is a difficult category to decide on for me.

There are the comedies, like Kind Hearts & Coronets, Cold Feet and Raising Arizona

Then there are more serious ones like The Godfather (I & II), Blue Velvet and The Usual Suspects

Then there are ones that are harder to classify, such as Casablanca and The Big Sleep

Lots of good films, depending on taste ;)

I have a few I like. Here they are in no order..

-Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
-French Connection
-Kelly's Heroes (ok not my fav but funny)
-Once Apon a time in America

I left out the Usual ones since they're already talk about in this thread a lot..

Here's a few from my shelf that caught my eye and haven't yet been mentioned:

All the Presidents Men
Casino
Man on Fire
Manhunter (NOT the remake, Red Dragon. William Peterson rules.)
National Treasure
Speed
To Live and Die in L.A. (William Peterson rules AGAIN.)

Also:
Assault on a Queen (Now rather dated, but I still love it.)

Edit: Of course to actually pick a FAVORITE out of everything... I don't think I really can, at least not without getting into very distinct subgenres - favorite movie about the Mafia, favorite caper movie, favorite investigative movie, serial killer movie, etc.

Pulp Fiction is numero uno on my list.

Fargo, Goodfellas, The Godfather, Jackie Brown, Grosse Point Blank, The Usual Suspects and Snatch are also great crime films that I've enjoyed.

I'm amazed no-one has mentioned Se7en. That's pretty much my favorite, though some of the classics like the Big Sleep, The Sting, are quite good. And I always thought the Usual Suspects was unremarkable.
Se7en? That wasn't really a crime movie, IMO. I'd consider it a Mystery/Thriller. Crime movie to me means that the main characters are purposefully involved with breaking the law. When the main characters are trying to stop the crime from happening or trying to figure out what is going on that's a different kind of film.

That said, excellent film. Fincher's stuff is great.

Just finished watching The Usual Suspects and Miller's Crossing last night. I've been on a bit of a crime movie kick, so what are your recommendations?

Just off the top of my head, recently I've seen True Romance, Wild at Heart, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Layer Cake, Snatch, Rounders, and The Limey.
Was Rounders really a crime film? I know they played underground poker but wasn't the point of the movie more about Matt Damon's character getting the big win and not really anything about breaking the law?

I don't mean to be anal about this but I'm just looking for a little clarity. :)

And I just realized that you are looking for suggestions as well as faves. To add a few more: Get Shorty, Out of Sight, Made and Scarface (how did we get this far and leave that one out?).
