What's your favorite edition of D&D?

i almost picked Original D&D.

Hey, all the editions are good 2e was what I started out on, and while I love it to death, I just prefer OD&D and AD&D 1st ed. to it. I think my preferences actually go in order. To me, OD&D is best, and 3e is worst. *flees from the soon-to-be angry mob*

I chose 3-e.. even though I didn't play it yet.

I do see the potential for it though... and other than that I only played 1ed.

3e for me. It's revitalized my gaming group and brought a lot of people back to the game who'd drifted away from it. I like the flexibility and the new d20 settings that have come along are cool.

By the way, I've played since '79. I'd say I'm old school. That doesn't mean I don't like progress, and I think 3e is definitely progress.

Before I get out my pichfork and torches, let me get something straight: you prefer 2E to 3E? Are you serious?

I'd understand OD&D and 1E (though I'd disagree), but 2E? You've got to be kidding!
