It did seem like a lot for Ripple...

Actually, I have a barter deal worked out with a friend who owns a nearby liquor store. I trade him meter-free parking for booze (roughly 4 cases of wine a year). I just hadn't collected in quite a while. So it was pretty much free!*

Nice. Now if only there were cheese retailer nearby that needed something. :D

Piccini Chianti, retailing at about $6.99-$7.99 a bottle, for a vin ordinaire or vino di tavolo

Rex Goliath, 48 Pound Rooster - used to be $7.99 a bottle and has shot up by $1-2 ever since folks found it tasty.

Trumpeter Malbec from Chile, umm $8.99?

Monte Campo Montepulcian D'Abruzzo, going for $6.99 a bottle here in CT.

To name a few.

Messina Hof makes an excellent Port, but its over the price limit (about $24 for the barrel reserve). They also make a good Rhiesling - a very nice dessert wine. I've never liked red wines, so I can't comment on that side of the spectrum.

And since we only live about a hundred miles from the winery, a trip down there once a year is a nice excuse to dine in their very fine restaurant.

It's kinda sweet, but I like it for some reason.
