What's your favorite scam?

Though I wasn't in the group, some other players I know were. They decided to pull off a Demonbusters scam. Common stuff, have someone disguised as a demon, go out, cause trouble. the Demonbusters show up to 'solve' the Demon trouble. Collect money and move on. Went pretty well until some demons found out and took it badly..

Mine goes something like this:
"How much d'I owe ya?" asked the old rogue, upon finishing ale and tale.
"Four coppers," said the bartender.
The rogue fished in his pockets. "Hmm," he said. "All I have is this gold piece. Have ya got change?"

Isn't this known as "claiming short" or something like that? One of those real-world scams.

Who knows the one called "two brothers and a stranger?" I forget how that works... something about an inside fix on a bet.
