whats your favorite stat, if you had all 13's and 1 18, where would the 18 go?

Your favorite stat: If you had 1 18 and the rest all 13's where would you put the 18.

Of course, it depends on the class I play.

Still, I usually play assassin-type characters, so Dex it is.

Not that I play often. I'm the DM 95%+ of the time.

Most characters I play have a high dex and high cha. I usually play bards. They need Cha because it's their primary stat for skills and magic. Dex is nice because bards can only wear light armour, and because I like archers.

If I remember well, to translate a D&D Intelligence score into IQ, you have to multiply by 10. As such a 13 Int means 130 IQ. Since I have already 130 IQ in real life, I am perfectly happy with just 13 in Intelligence. This obviously leaves Charisma to put the 18. Charisma is certainly not the dump stat of real life: with a 18 Cha, the most beautiful women in my bed, and an extraordinary ability to open the doors to wealth and influence, since what matters most are the people you know and are willing to help you...

the attempt of the poll is to force your opinion.

I chose 13's because that would allow room to qualify for prestige classes, feats.
I chose 1 high stat to pigeon whole responses.
Im also aware that poll's such as this make you basically pick your favorite class and build. Forcing you to place 13 elsewhere. I, like many of you have a toss up between 2 or 3 stats
and class would really dictate.

If I were to pick 1 stat I'de say cha, not for the class but rather because humans/sentient being's, (elves, halflings, dwarves-not so much dwarves) are a social bug and a 18 cha would help me avoid confrontation with intimidation, wit, & charm. An 18 cha means your going to excell at social producol etc. so fitting into strange lands would be that much easier. Plus it wouldnt hurt with the ladies. You would have more friends to help protect you if necessary. Others will consider your suggestions, you would be a good leader etc etc.

Plus there is several classes Bard, Sorcerer Paladin that directly benefit from CHA, and with those 3 classes representing almost every aspect/facet of D&D.
