What's your Kickstarter success rate?

I backed Goodmans Metamorphosis Alpha, and 5e adventures. Both completed.

I backed the Northwind 3 pack of adventures for Astonishing Swordsmen and Sorcerers of Hyperborea. Completed.

And Runequest 2 from Chaosium is in progress.

I've only backed 5. Every one has delivered, or is very clearly in the process of delivering.

I've backed 18 and I've gotten what I expected out of all 18. And, yes, that includes Pathfinder Online.

I backed 20 and received the reward for 12. Of the remaining campaigns 4 of them are on schedule, 2 are six months behind, 1 is one month behind, and 1 is a year and a half behind (with its reward supposedly coming within the month). Despite some delays each campaign has good communication and I expect each one will be completed.

I've backed nine and received three. Of the six outstanding, only three are actually late. The one I’m probably the most bummed about is the Great Kingdom, which is probably moribund due to the ongoing legal action.

I've backed 11 projects (6 of those related to RPGs). Two have completely delivered (Shadowrun: Hong Kong and Snap Power USB). One has mostly delivered and is almost done with the final bit (Goodman Games 5E Adventures; the sixth module was a stretch goal and understandably takes extra time). Of the other nine, only one is late (Atomic Robo HCs - but I'm not worried about it. They should be done within a month or two of their original goal of this month). The rest are still ahead of their proposed delivery date. I've only backed one project by a group without a track record (Legacy's Wake by MithrilPunk), but so far so good with that one.

Everything else is folks with an established track record (Howard Taylor's Planet Mercenary RPG - new to RPG, but not new to Kickstarter or publishing; Shadows over Sol - small outfit, but reasonable KS and no physical rewards to surprise them in cost; Tome of Beasts - Kobold Press is solid; Borderlands Provinces - FGG is solid; two video games: Divinity:Original Sin 2 and Battletech by Harebrained Schemes have both delivered on KS before.)

So I don't have a high completion rate yet, but I feel like it's going to work out.

I've backed 111, 6 are late. 2 are very late and I figure are lost to scamming.
I try to be careful so 2 outta 111, I'm fine with that. Being late doesn't bother me when there are monthly updates and progress shown.

Since 2010, I've backed over 150 Kickstarters, of those, 43 have yet to deliver.

However, of those 43, only half-a-dozen so are failures or at worst, unacceptably late. Most of the ones I'm still waiting on are recent Kickstarters than aren't near their completion date yet (and some of those have actually started sending out rewards, like the latest Numenera one and the DCC reprint!).

As I go back through them, I realize some of the ones that are really late, I no longer care about enough to follow-up and see if I'm ever going to see a return on my investment.

Ironically, I am one of the few backers that actually got what I paid for out of a Ken Whitman-affiliated Kickstarter: I backed the Knight's Tale card game and got my rewards within a reasonable amount of time (I also got one of the Rusty the Rust Monster plushies despite the C&D that shut down that Kickstarter some months after it funded).

55 projects I backed have funded. With Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls and Deluxe Exalted 3rd edition finally delivering or on their way, there's three that are really late and one of those has delivered the pdf at least. My most recent delivery had a pledge in September and came through my door today. Allowing for stretch goals expected to be delivered later than the main project, I'm at 80%, 44 out of 55.

I'm two for two, but the first one turned out to be kind of disappointing and an add-on set of dice that was supposed to be custom turned out to be generic and dull.
