I expect our shipment to be either July 2 or 3. Sometimes in the past we would receive a preview copy a few days early, but not so far this time.
Ahh. Maybe WotC got wise.

On topic: I've got PH, MM, DMG, Hoard of the Dragon Queen, and Rise of Tiamat all on preorder from Amazon.ca, but I'll be buying the Starter Set on July 3rd from Warp 2 comics here in Edmonton. I've got a group of players ready to go, and we can't wait an extra two weeks for 5E! (Also, for some weird reason the Starter Set seems to be the only 5E product Amazon.ca isn't carrying. If you can find it on there, feel free to prove me wrong.)

I'll be getting mine at gaming store owned by friend. His store is actually part of the WPN, the Italian branch of WotC doesn't handle distribution at all (not even for Magic), so he'll get Starter Set on the 15th.

I likely won't buy the Starter Set at all; but if I do, I'll wait until I read reviews online about the included adventure.

If the adventure is great, I may still not buy it -- because it might become the basis for a new PbP online game here at EN World, and I would like to keep my mind clear of spoilers out of respect for that possible eventuality.

Also, the gaming stores here in Lane County do M:tG only, if they host any WPN stuff at all. I would have to drive 40 miles north into the next county to find a store that hosts Encounters -- worthy, that is, of being rewarded by an in-store purchase of the Starter Set.

You know, it possible to get 5E and not get the starter set.

In fact, you can get it on July 3, and not get the starter set.

I've been trying to find out if the closest thing to a FLGS near me is getting the box early, but the people that work there are generally fairly ignint about D&D, and I haven't been able to catch the one who apparently is my best bet at work yet.
