Where are Ken Hood's Grim-N-Gritty rules?

Notice I said "feats only" rather than "skills & feats". I am pretty certain he had a simplified version of the system on his site for a short period of time
Ah... I didn't realize there were two systems.

Yeah, if anyone has that, send it my way, too.

And it can be yours, too, for just a small amount!

No?

;)

Try this link.

It has Ken Hood's 'Grim'n Gritty' rules, his bush-fighter, the 'complete psychic' and both versions of the martial arts system, 'skills and feats' and 'feats only'.

Hope this helps!

Ken Hood's original "THE SLEEPING IMPERIUM" has been found.

I found a copy of the original source information at the URL of http://www.angelfire.com/games4/doctorwhoeyespy/sleepingimperium.html.

Copies of Ken's "D20 Psionic" and "D20 Martial Arts" files are in PDF format and are located at the "D20 Traveller" fan website of http://www.falkayn.com/. As of October 21st, 2004, both links are still good. :)

The first link includes all the information regarding the D20 RPG setting/supplement information of the "Sleeping Empire." It also includes Ken Hood's original notes of his rule supplements of for "D20 Psionic," "D20 Martial Arts" and "D20 Firearms".

A "modified version from the original text" of Ken Hood's "Grim-n-Gritty Hit Point and Combat Rules", for D20, has been published in Mongoose Publishing's "Ultimate Games Designer's Companion" (MGP#9004, copyrighted 2003). The original version was titled "Grim-n-Gritty Hit Point and Combat Rules For Use with Dark Fantasy or Horror-based Settings", copyrighted 2001. Ken is NOT given credit in the book publication, although the exact original title IS used. :\

The three attached files are downloadable from the links I have provided down below. The "d20martialarts.zip" and "d20psionics.zip" are PDF files. The "GrimNGrittyHitPointRules.zip" is a MS-Word file.

Furthermore, each file contains the requisite copy of the Open Gaming License, as required by the Wizards of the Coast, per OGL V1.0a. :D

Ken analyzed and improved the rules here on EN World.

This is a very good thread with a lot of changes to the ruleset along the way. Eventually it gets to a point that Ken calls it good and other people mention ways they are going to alter it for their own use. DanMCS has an interesting thread on making all weapons mutable so you do damage based on skill and qualities, not by weapon. This makes it so a player isn't penalized for becoming a spear wielder.

I would combine these 2 systems for a new game sometime.

Whoa... You mean Ken isn't even listed in the OGL section 15 Copyright Notice of the book?

If that's the case... Boo! Mongoose, that very bad form. Boo!
