Where do I find a desert scythe?

I posted this on a different forum to no luck. I need to find the info on a desert scythe. The weapon was featured in the Mercenaries Handbook, a 3.x D&D handbook. The idea of a scythe that fits in one hand is really appealing, especially if it has a x4 crit. As far as I can tell, and based on what I saw on the Desert Orc, this is what I believe it is.

Desert Scythe

Exotic Weapon. Dmg: 1d4 (1d6?) Size: Small (I don't think it is a medium?) Range: Melee Crit: x4 Type: Slashing


What do you guys think?

If it is an exotic weapon, maybe it isn't exotic to the Desert Orc? I am not sure.

No idea, but there's a number of 1h melee weapons, mostly picks, with x4 crit.

Martial Weapons:
Light Pick, 1d4/x4, Player's Handbook 116
Heavy Pick 1d6/x4, Player's Handbook 116

Exotic Weapons:
Ice Axe 1d6/x4, Frostburn 76
Dire Pick 1d8/x4, Complete Warrior 157
Tigerskull Club 1d8/x4 Frostburn 76

Seriously, this perplexed me and you've probably found everything I did. The Desert Orc is from UA. Otherwise, I couldn't find it anywhere. The Merc Handbook doesn't seem to be available.

Yeah, he's talking of AEG's Mercenaries, the desert orc is page 239. It's a 3rd edition book, I surprisingly had it when I read the OP's post. However, it doesn't list a desert scythe as a weapon in that book or in the arms and equipment guide. I think it's just a custom heavy pick that deals slashing damage.
