I allowed spells from that book in my last game and came to regret it. Maybe it was just the mixed interpretations of the spells, but many ended up being game busters. I disallowed the Mini Handbook in my latest game...

The healing ones? Or are you perhaps talking about the "no, honest it's conjuration so you get no SR" damage spells? For some reason the latter made it into other books, but the former (really good spells filling important niches) have not...

While not particularly relevant, there's a psionic power in the XPH that does the same thing, and I think it's 4th-level. It can even be augmented to revive creature that's been dead for more than 1 round, by spending more XP.

And it is right on the limit...

Duplicate any other spell of 5th level or lower, provided the spell is not of a school prohibited to you.

When a limited wish spell duplicates a spell with a material component that costs more than 1,000 gp, you must provide that component.
