The 5E DMG also makes recommendations for what appropriate narrative stakes are per Tier: but Bounded Accuracy makes the DC math work across the board.

Scaling encounters doesn't necesitate changing the math of the game: indeed, by removing the number inflation, more options are opened up.

Lol... no in 5e a very hard task DC is just a very hard task DC irregardless of level... In 4e the DC for a hard task for a level 1 PC is not the same as the DC for a hard task for a level 6 PC...
