Right now, I could care less as I see nothing that makes me want to switch. I would rather see my favorite publishers remain focused on their house systems (e.g. M&M, True20), d20 Modern, and 3.5.

Please don't threadcrap. If you're not interested in 4E, then start a thread in the Publishers forum asking which of them are planning to continue support for systems in 3.x. You'll stand a better chance of getting the attention of the publishers there, and may even manage to keep people from writing you off as someone that is focused on spoiling everyone else's enjoyment of looking forward to the new edition. At the very least, you might find that this would be the one forum of the 20-some forums here that you may choose to not enter.

Thanks,

Having said that, I don't see much chance of M&M remaining as is, as it was designed by Mike Mearls, who is heavily invested in 4E, and d20 Modern and 3.5 are WotC's "house systems" and they're the ones publishing 4E.

He did? I thought he was just Mr. Iron Heroes.

Necromancer has already announced a 4E Tome of Horrors on their boards, but I also want to see their best 3E monsters repackaged, either as Tome of Horrors 2, or something else

Tome of Horrors came first to my mind. In fact, I could see a sequel that covers the 3E era monsters that didn't make the 4E cut. Monster books should be popular overall (Book of Fiends, Monsternomicon).

Given the changes to races, I can see race books being popular as well. Unfortunately, I can't think of any race books that were ever "must have." The closest were a couple of the WotC books (Races of Stone, Races of Eberron), but they wouldn't count.

For another "probably doesn't count," a 4E update to the Dragon Compendium.

That is only true if Mike Mearls and Steve Kenson are the same person....

I find my games of heroic fantasy adventure are more likely to include grotesque evil fiends and so-called 'vile darkness' than 'erotic fantasy'. YMMV, but it's not like enough of our session isn't taken up with knob jokes already. :D

Given that the BoEF is concerned with things like fertility gods, paternity and social interaction, I suspect a lot more games touch on things contained in the book -- or could comfortably do so, even if they don't already go there -- than most folks think.
