d3... I think the best way to make such a think would be to make somethink akin to this:

The large triangles should be bulbed into hemispheres, so that landing on that side would be impossible.

is it not possible with 3 concave surfaces? 3 cylinder sections, as if they were touching, it would ne a tru 3 sided object, but it would work......hmmm, gonna have to play in the studio....

I have several different D2's (and I don't mean coins  ). One is a plastic tile that you toss like a coin, but is specifically designed to randomly generate a choice of two numbers. It came in a set of Binary Dice. Another D2 I have is a D4 numbered 1,1,2,2. I also have a D6 numbered 1,1,1,2,2,2.

I also have lots of D6's numbered 1,1,2,2,3,3 - to roll D3. There's a patent for a D3 with convex faces. Each face is shaped like an eye. As far as I know, this die was never produced commercially.

D16's exist. They were produced by Lou Zocchi, the man who invented the D100. I have several D16's and D100's.

In my collection, I have at least one of each of the following:

  • D2
  • D3
  • D4
  • D5
  • D6
  • D7
  • D8
  • D9
  • D10
  • D12
  • D14
  • D16
  • D20
  • D30
  • D32
  • D34
  • D50
  • D100

if the board had an audio feature you would know i am awed into silence.

I have about 10 d30's and have no use for them. I need to come up with something dangit. I buy those pound-o-dice chessex dice all the time, and they always come with a handful of 30's.

I checked out some pictures of d16's. They look pretty cool. I wouldn't mind seeing them become a "standard" in the role playing community.

I've been in awe of Zander for a while. As for myself I only have... maybe a little over a thousand dice.

The oddest are a few d30's a d32, d7, and a few wooden and metal dice.

But I use my dn (a quick progam I made for my calculator) the most. It lets me roll 25% higher or lower than average with a push of one button. I have yet to use it to cheat as a player, but DM's don't cheat. ;)

d2 and d3 can be generated easily enough using existing dice

The others, in common with such abominations as the d7, are not Euclidean solids and are therefore the Spawn of Evil. As is the d10 :) Unless it's a d20 with all the numbers repeated twice, that is, in which case our universe is safe.
