Well, the giants aren't Humanoids in the D&D sense. If they were, I'd say Storm Giant, but only because I'm thinking of a particular NPC from my games.
Anyway for creatures with the Humanoid type...
For "macho" as a derogatory term, I'd say orcs. Loud, crude, aggressive, swaggering and ineffective.
For "macho" as a complimentary term, I'd say scro. Confident, powerful, virile, determined and badass.
Since hobgoblins have basically been written as somewhat weaker scro in 3e, they get the nod from those on the list.
