Nope. 1e was better.I disagree. I regard TOR 2e as superior to the previous incarnations in every aspect. For me they cleaned up the game. They made it better.
In what ways?Nope. 1e was better.
Hope was better. A few other details of tone and color. The 'feel' was much more Tolkien, where every fight/endeavor was desperate business and memorable. In what ways?
Aren't they now prohibited from selling them, now that they don't have the license? However whichever version you go with it’s worth picking up the C7 products (they regularly do humble bundles) because their adventures and supplements are great and the art across the whole line is absolutely stunning.

You’re right! It’s all down to 3rd party book shops. It’s definitely worth keeping an eye out for bargains though. If the cash is spare.Aren't they now prohibited from selling them, now that they don't have the license?

Define bland.I will agree they "cleaned it up". 1st edition was poorly organized and had wonky rules that were hard to understand. But it was also a great game.
2nd edition is easy to understand. And bland.
