i am saddened to say that I have too many books to keep up on th ereading- so i placed some on the "later" pile:

ordered from least likely to be read (on top) to most (bottom)
Mythic races
rokugan monsters
rokugan CS (DM forbade)
creature collection 2
encyclopedia arcana series (constructs, demonology, necromancy)-DM forbidance
traps and treachery
relics and rituals- DM again

but- I will start to use them as I get more time. i am graduating and will have a lot more time to read and play afterwards....

I will start at the bottom and work upwards

Although I like the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting book (it's well-written, doesn't need lots of errata, has great artwork) I have yet to use it in my campaigns.

The problem is, I've grown so used to home-brewed campaign worlds over the years I don't really know how to properly use a pre-made setting.

have you looked at the specific spells, races, and other goodies in teh book.

I got the book not for the CS, but the PrCs and spells and feats. They are extremely powerful compared to the core books, but at high lvls, you would expect feats and powers to be that way...

Sword and Fist.

I was considering adding the FRCS to the list (as I don't run my campaign in the Forgotten Realms) but I've got a ton of use out of the feats and suchlike.

I have a fair sized heap of EARTHDAWN boxed sets and supplements and a few of the early novels.

There'd have to be 48 hours in the day to have any chance of playing them. (I've used a very few).

Traps and Treachery.

Some great stuff in there for DMs, don't get me wrong-- I just don't run games with the kind of prep time necessary to use most of the traps.

I did use their little arrow trap, though, and it was a beauty. The ranger held on to that green-fletched masterwork arrow for AGES, and when he finally used it against THE DRAGON, the green dragon that was strafing them mercilessly, the little hidden blade cut his bowstring.

Tee hee!

So that one at least was simple enough to include in a hurry.

I've used a few, but some of the prestige classes and feats are a little campaign-specific (Hathran witches, the various Harper classes, regional feats, etc.)

I plan to eventually adapt these to my campaigns...has anyone had any experience with this?

Likewise.

I don't run Teh Realms, but I've been greatly inspired by the fantastic FRCS.

For me, Manual of the Planes was a complete waste of money.

I just hate the D&D cosmology, as well as most of the ideas presented in this Tome.

I guess I'm slightly inspired by some of the optional stuff at the back (Plane of Dreams, Plane of Faerie).

Actually, I'm not sure if they're actually called those names, because I haven't opened the book since late September.

Oriental Adventures (and now Rokugan) are two books I never thought I'd get so much out of, but they've become the basis for a complete retooling of my Campaign Worl.

And my campaign is completely Egyptian in flavour.

Not an Oriental in sight.
