00Machado thanks for dropping by and sharing your feedback. All the things that you mentions seem to be emulated well with the True20 rule set, which I just finished rereading. There are even GREAT fan created adaptations of SW, ask a certain gentleman in this thread!
Savage World I have read and own, but Machado I have absolutely NO experience running it. I think, and this is purely m y opinion from reading the books not running the games themselves, that True20 does all the things people like about Savage World within the D20 framework.
Since the campaign is still in the planning stages and will not begin before March, I am waiting for the SW Saga Edition and giving the authors the benefit of the doubt. My players are psyched about waiting too so we’ll see once the rules come out if it is either True20 or Saga edition.
iwatt, rack of lamb! ¡Que delicioso! (How delicious, sorry lapsed into the native tongue there for a moment) That is excellent, hope the week continues the trend. Hope all the rest of you are having fun.
The idea of the religious sect in the outer rim is excellent and a great compromise. I’ll run with it. Now I’ve been thinking about the factions, the different political groups that have spawned in my fractured vision of the Republic.
By now I’ve established that the Jedi Military sect hold a protectorate that includes the Duros, and thus if I am not mistaken, some area of the core words (right?). The Mystics also hold some planet, I envision mid rim probably. Jorus C'baoth and Dooku hold small protectorates, of a few planets, perhaps only a system, I have not decided where, but Jorus probably in the Outer Rim.
I see Dooku holding some ancestral lands in a well known area. Some other independent Jedi may have small insignificant holdings. The Religious sect has some pres3ence in fringe outer rim worlds. No political control there.
The Alderaan system and their allies will play an important role in the plot. The Corellian Sector will be another group, any ideas or thoughts on how they may expand into their neighbor’s territories? What other blocks you would see forming in this environment? The Hutts are around but they are independent of the Republic.
What about names for the Jedi orders or sects. I thought about calling the Military sect the Leoco Actum, but fear it may not sound right! No opinion on using Aldon as a first name for Palpatine?
Talk to you all later!
