Who else wants damage tracked separately per hit ?

We should also track the exact position of the sun compared to the party's current position and time of day. Could be useful. :hmm:

Well, I dont think I need to add my voice to the big general thumbs down this got...

...but I will. No, not for me. I wont to streamline D&D, and adding extra complication to something that already worked well enough for me isnt something I want.

Unless you're also adding hit locations and redefining what D&D HP mean, I wouldn't be on board.

I'm not so sure tracking per hit would be meaningful. I also think it might create weird situations. It seems to make more sense to track how much damage is done to an area of the body if you want more granularity.

It would appear the answer to your thread title question is "No one else."

That would include me, as well. Waaay too much unnecessary additives to my D&D.

Sorry.

Think it's bad as a player?
Try to keep track of every wound of every monster as DM.

That said, if you're writing a new RPG and "realism" is a design goal it's something to try, especially if it's not designed to be combat heavy and getting hurt is a big deal.

As a DM, hell no - just keeping up with hp for multiple monsters is sometimes a pain.

However, I wouldn't mind trying out something that tracks long-term wounds to PCs - breaking an arm, knee injuries, concussions and the like - as long as they were fairly rare.

Being able to inflict a condition that emulates cracked ribs after a 30' fall, for example - would be something I might be interested in looking at.
