Who here would like to do d20 Modern?

I've had a lot of storylines running around in my head for the past few months, and they all seem to entail a Modern setting for D&D. Yesterday, on a rare day off, I bought a copy of d20 Modern. I started reading through it last night and, suspicion confirmed, it looks like a great rules set. Some time later this year after one or two of my current games finish up, I intend to run a d20 Modern game here on EN World. Before I do, however, I'd like to play it first.

Thus, my questions. Does anyone want to DM a low-level Modern game? And does anyone else want to play in something like that? I'd prefer a one-shot adventure, something to get my feet wet so I can get a feel for how things run before I run my own.

Anyone else up for this?

I'd certainly be up for it. I've only played a couple sessions of D20 Modern, though and only have access to the SRD materials.

I love modern. Love it in a way that makes me feel all squishy on the inside. Many of my best gaming moments, both as player and as GM have been in modern.

I'd love to play, but don't have the time to GM. Too much else going on these days.

I'm in the same boat as most: I'd love to play, not sure I have time to DM. Especially since I may be starting another D&D game and a d20 Future game here in the next month or two.

Yeah...I'm considering it, but in all honesty I really don't think I can DMit right now. I have, what? Four games I'm DMing online at the moment, plus another solo in the works with Voadam? Plus two or three that I play in. I just don't see me DMing anything new until maybe after Sunless Citadel and/or Shackled City finish up in a few months.

Still, playing is a cakewalk compared to DMing. I'm all up for a quickie. If no one is able to DM at the moment, then perhaps I'l revisit this idea in a few months. 'Course, it's Saturday as I post, so maybe come Monday or Tuesday someone will step forward with time and inclination to DM.

If people will excuse some tentativeness, ruleswise, I might be able to put something together. Either as a one-shot or a continuing game. I have a lot of modern era game ideas, both new and things I've done in other systems.

I'd be happy to submit a character. I'd be learning things myself, so while I'd be interested in following along in my Modern rulebook, I've never been one to make a stink over a rules faux pax. I might ask the occasional rules question from time to time in an OOC but I'd be doing it because I'd be trying to learn, not to make you suffer.

Tentativeness over the rules? That's me in a nutshell. I'm not one to argue over rules anyway.

I'd be up for a one shot...or even a longer game if that is what it turned into.
