Who was your first RPG Charcater and what ever happened to him/her

My first character was a shadowrun character. It was a "street samurai" roughly based on Léon (you know the film?).

His first combat related encounter went very bad - he tried to shoot a simple guard, but while wielding two weapons. He missed and allowed him to alarm the other guards...

Well, he survived, it was not really tough. But I only played him a second adventure, and than made up a new character. In Shadowrun, character generation makes too much fun... :)

Wow... my first character...

I still have that old sheet someplace. Kithian D'Arran was a human thief from our old AD&D1 game when all we had was the PHB, DMG, MM (just the first one), and I think we had a copy of FR Adventures for campaign setting.

Kithian's been a harper, a spy, a beggar, and a prince, sometimes all in the same week.

2nd edition hit, and somewhere along the line, Kithian gained 4 levels, an 18 Charisma, a lifelong nemesis, and real estate in Cormyr out of a Deck of Many Things.

My DM made me buy the pizza that night. Not that I blame him. <g>

Two sessions later, I learned why I should *always* ask the DM how many draughts were in a potion flask when Kithian accidentally drank 5 Elixirs of Youth and wound up 14th level 11 year old.

That campaign never really ended. People just sort of moved away when we graduated from high school, then college.

On a whim, I converted Kithian over to 3rd edition recently. I kinda miss playing him. Maybe I'll see if I can convince someone to run The Bastion of Broken Souls or something.

I don't remember much. It was 1978, I was a fighter from the old box set, and I was fighting a wight, what I believed at the time to be a large glowing ball of light, go figure. The character survived but I have no idea what happend to him after that. I can't think back that far. My childeren have taken from me any mental aptitude I may have once had.

Well...

I am sad to say my first character was a fighter named "Ronin", a wholy un-original name. It was back in '83 I beleive, I was 12 at the time, and it was with the red-box D&D set. The first game was Isle of Dread... we set fire to the tar pits, lol.

My first RPG character was of course for D&D. Basic D&D with the good ol' red boxed set. It was on 82' or 81' if memory serves. His name was Silverleaf, he was an elf, cause I wanted both the magic and the fighting skills.

The first creature he (and I ever killed in D&D) was a giant Gar, in an underground river, I killed it with a spear. After climbing up the 50ft+ ladder, he was killed by the 500 bugbears that were in the 10x10 room. We were new to the game and life was so much simpler in them days. 20+ years later, Silverleaf II (a multi-classed elf from 1st ed AD&D) is still strong and kickin', retired some ancient years ago in his hidden keep with the ability to shapeshift into his battle form, a lizard man, at will.

the short fat tumbling rogue named Claude "Cloud" Edward was my first DnD character all of 6 years (or so) ago. at the time, i'd just seen an ad for Final Fantasy VII and i thought the name cloud was so kool! Edward apparently means rich and since he was from a wealthy merchant family, i figured it made sense. :) Cloud was his nickname, coz he was fat and light on his feet. hey, it was my first character! what do you want! i hadn't even read the hobbit by then!

we played till the group was about 6th level, tho he may have been 7th (Ad&D xp rules and all that). then sadly i had to leave the game. moving a few hundred miles makes gaming with your buddies kinda difficult. last i heard, he gave up adventuring to go take care of the family business. his mom had gotten sick and his stepdad had taken her off somewhere to help her recuperate (after he found out that his stepbrother didn't like mom and tried to poison her).

A cleric called Bernard. he was killed by an exploding alchemist about 4 sessions into playing him.

My first character was a Gamma world guy named "Conan" LOL. I think I was about 12, and I remember throwing a plasma grenade at a tank while in a ditch. Arravis, remember that day after you met me at the 7 Eleven? man what a long time ago that was.,......

TLG

I was 10 as I recall, and I managed to talk my dad into running a campaign. It was keep on the Borderlands. I got my sister to play as well. But no matter what I tried he kept killing me as soon as I hit the first Goblin. So he suggested that I hire someone. So I did, that turned out to be the evil cleric who cast cause light wounds on me and killed me before the goblins could. It's a wonder I still play....

Lady Shalla Silverscale... a 1e Magic-user originally. By the end of things, she was a silver were-dragon, hence the name. I can't remember what her original last name was.

I started playing with a group that had been together for years. The DM, unwilling to just let me start with a 16th level character(go figure), scheduled advance sessions. It was one on one for 10 sessions before he let me play with the whole group. That was weird, but they had standards.

Anyway, she died when the party was facing a cabal of evil wizards backed up by several dragons. In an effort to escape, she was the first party member to jump through a dark opening at the back of the cavern they were in. It was a sphere of annihilation. I was... annoyed.

I should have asked why one of the other characters was nicknamed stumpy. Turns out the party *always* put sticks into any whole before jumping through after a nasty incident of this nature. Kill the newbie.
