Who's arrow is this and why am I stuck with it?

With relation to magical effects, where do my possessions and I end and foreign objects begin?

In other words, if I am tied up and reduce does the rope reduce? I would think not, that seems to be a classic use of reduce? But how about if I have an arrow in the chest? A locking garrote around my neck? A polymorphed character hiding in my gear?

What about gaseous form? Dimension door? Polymorph? Teleport? When a character with six arrows in him ports away, do the arrows fall to the ground or are they now his possessions?

Obviously there are a lot of different spells and situations where this problem applies. Opinions?

Technically, if it's not yours, then it's not part of your equipment, so it's not part of you, but I don't know how much water that holds.
