Why add to 5e rumourmongering?

First the speculative article and now this:

There are rumours of an imminent D&D 5th Edition. WotC says nothing (confirmation or denial), but clues seem to point to it. Monte Cook, who was one of the main designers of D&D 3rd Edition and who left WotC many years ago has recently been rehired by the company.

No, clues do NOT point to it at all. That is ENTIRELY conjecture. Is this site so desperate for D&D news that it's now making it up and fanning rampant speculation with more rampant speculation?

There is a difference between a rumour and conjecture.

What I find truly bizarre about this is that in the very same article, this is stated:

This polarization (along with those who wish WotC had just stuck with the 3E line) is known as the "Edition Wars" and flares up from time to time. This is tiresome.

If it's so tiresome, why create more of it?

Rumours are valid news, and have been for over a decade. This site was founded on 3E rumours. They are marked as such; feel free to disregard.
